In the first edition of Spontaneous Dialogue, Mark Hansen, leading scholar of American politics from University of Chicago and Mohit Satyanand, Member, Board of Advisors, ijustice, Centre for Civil Society, contextualised the American political experience and put into perspective the shifting political winds here at home. Addressing the citizen activism triggered by the dynamism of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and the subsequent birthing of anti-establishment views, the discussion sought to analyse the identity politics and populist rhetoric dominating the two political landscapes.
